It's not just a bad back. It's everything you stop doing.
Nobody notices it happening. You just start saying "I'll sit this one out" a bit more often. Tap the ones you miss.
Overheard on UK forums
I hobble for a good ten steps after getting up off the settee, out of bed or out of the car.
— on getting up
You'd be forgiven for thinking I was 100 if you watched me get out of bed in the morning.
— on mornings
I cannot get on the floor to play with her.
— on a one-year-old
These are real words people wrote on UK forums about their backs. They aren't our customers. They're the reason Unbent exists.
Why lying down doesn't switch it off.
The muscles that keep you upright don't have an off button. After a day of holding, they stay on guard.
Lie flat on a sofa or a soft mattress and your lower back sinks. The curve it's meant to have disappears, so those muscles keep doing the job they've done since the morning. That's the dull, tight feeling that's still there at bedtime, and the "two goes" it takes to get up off the sofa.
"It feels like a steel rod across my lower back."
Lying flat, the small of your back has nothing under it. The muscles keep holding. With Unbent underneath, the curve is held for you. The muscles can finally let go.
What a braced back needs to let go.
Three things, at the same time, while you're lying down. One on its own helps a little. All three together is when it lets go. Switch them on.
Your lower backBraced
Switch each one on and watch what happens.
Why the usual fixes only go so far.
Most of what's in the cupboard gives you one of the three. And usually not while you're lying down.

Unbent
Seeing a physio? Keep going. Unbent is for the other six evenings of the week, at home, on your own sofa.
Unbent puts all three under your back.
You lie on it. It holds the curve, warms it and moves it gently. Fifteen minutes is plenty, and it switches itself off after 30.
The archSits in the small of your back and lifts it gently, instead of letting it sink.
Warm centreHeat sits right in the middle, where most people feel it by the evening.
Slow rhythmSoft vibration you can turn up, down or off.
No cable while you use itRechargeable, so it goes on the sofa, the bed or the floor.

Questions people ask.
Is Unbent a medical device?
No. It's a comfort device for everyday tension and stiffness in the lower back. It doesn't diagnose, treat or cure anything. If you have ongoing or worsening pain, numbness, or pain down your leg, please see your GP or a physio.
Who shouldn't use it?
Please don't use it if you're pregnant, have a pacemaker or other implanted device, have had recent back surgery, or have a diagnosed spinal condition, unless your doctor has said it's fine. Don't use the heat on numb skin, and don't fall asleep with it on.
How long does a session last?
Fifteen minutes is plenty. It switches itself off after 30. Most people use it once in the evening.
Does it need to be plugged in?
No. It's rechargeable, so you can use it on the sofa or in bed without a cable. Charge it over USB-C between sessions, not while you're using it.
When will it arrive?
Delivery is free and tracked across the UK, and usually takes 3 to 5 working days. You'll get a tracking link by email as soon as it's dispatched.
What if it isn't for me?
You've got 30 nights to try it at home. If it isn't for you, get in touch and send it back for a refund. You pay the return postage to our returns address in Spain. This is on top of your legal right to cancel within 14 days.
Where are the reviews?
Unbent is new, and we only show reviews from real orders. They'll appear here as customers write them. Until then, the 30-night trial is how you find out for yourself.
